What to expect
Your first visit
The assessment lasts about one hour at our Upperco facility or in your home. We review your dog's history, observe their behavior and recommend the right training path.
The $75 fee is refunded when you enroll in an Intermediate or Board & Train program.

Getting here
Obedient BLUE sits on Ridge Road in Upperco, Maryland, in the northwest corner of Baltimore County near the Carroll County line. Most clients come up Route 30 or Route 27 and reach us in twenty to forty minutes from Reisterstown, Westminster, Hampstead, Manchester, Finksburg and Owings Mills. Parking is on site, and there is plenty of room to let your dog stretch before a lesson.
Visits are by appointment so the yards and the gym stay calm for the dogs already here. Call or send the form and we will confirm a time that works, including evenings and weekends when the schedule allows.
What to tell us
- Your dog's name, breed or best guess, age and whether they are spayed or neutered.
- What is going wrong day to day: pulling, jumping, barking, biting, not coming when called.
- Anything we should know before meeting: bite history, fear of strangers, dog or cat reactivity.
- Whether you are hoping for training, daycare, board & train, or you are not sure yet.
How fast we reply
Lyndsey answers new inquiries within one business day. Daytime hours are spent with dogs, so a call may go to voicemail: leave a message with your dog's name and it will be returned. Current daycare and training clients can also message through the Gingr portal for scheduling and records.
Before you book
Do I need an assessment first?
For training, yes. The one-hour, $75 assessment tells us where to start, and it is refunded when you enroll in an Intermediate or Board & Train program. Daycare needs an evaluation day instead.
Can you come to my house?
Yes, throughout Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Frederick counties in Maryland and York and Adams counties in Pennsylvania, for a travel cost based on distance.
