Dog Training and Puppy Development That Works

Strong communication is the foundation for a strong relationship between you and your dog.

Every dog is unique in their way of learning. At Obedient BLUE, we aim to make training fun, not fearful while teaching all levels of obedience and behavior modification. Our training techniques will help you control aggression, excitement, nervous energy and more. Your dog deserves it and so do you!

Many people dive right into training without knowing what is expected. By completing our one-hour pre-training assessment, you and your dog will prep for success ensuring you get the most out of your training experience. Our dog training assessment is available at our facility or in your home. It’s designed to…

1. Evaluate and Determine Goals

During the assessment, we will evaluate your dog’s behavior and training needs and discuss any goals and concerns you may have. Your dog will go through small training tests to determine where to start.

2. Questions and answers

The assessment allows you to ask questions about our training process. We will discuss your budget and time for training to make sure you are enrolling in the program. You can also email us before your assessment with a detailed background on your dog and your needs/wants for training.

3. Discuss the Next Steps

Our goal is for you to have a comprehensive understanding of our process, including the methods used, expected outcomes, the details of our recommended program, including your program outline, equipment needed and scheduling of your sessions. You can enroll during this time and get your sessions scheduled with us.

About our trainer

Lyndsey Morgan

ABCDT Certified Dog Trainer

Looking back, as far as I remember, there has always been dogs in my life. At one point, we had 5 dogs in our home. I spent every moment I had with them and their love and affection always gave me a sense of security; it was my therapy.

As I grew, I took more responsibility handling our dogs and a need and interest for training quickly arose. Let’s be honest for those that know me, I’m not your average height or size. Their many unruly behaviors became overwhelming and although I loved our dogs, I knew these behaviors had to stop. I took it upon myself at 16, to apply at my first kennel job with Grandma's House for Pets. I learned a lot about caring for dogs, dog behavior and working with dogs in group settings. It was then and there that I knew I wanted to go further with increasing my knowledge about dogs.

The day came shortly after, with our rescue dog named Chance, a large, loveable goofy hound/Doberman mix, who gave me the pleasure of experiencing my first group obedience class. We learned so much together, he was also my graduating year high school project in 2001 on dog training. I will always be grateful for what I have learned from him and the love he gave me.

Fast forward to 2007, I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a certified dog trainer. I became a first-time dog mom to an English yellow lab I called Blue. He was my Bluie, my Blueberry and so much more. In honor of him, I started my training business Obedient Blue, "School for Dogs.” In July of 2022, Blue crossed the rainbow bridge, but his memory will always live on.

In Blue’s honor, I will forever keep training dogs, helping dogs live their lives to their fullest, and help keep dogs in homes and out of shelters my priority.
